Lone Seagull

They ride the wind along the shore waiting for a little bite. Some hover so close that a telephoto lens is rendered unnecessary.

As I uploaded this photo my mind wandered to a book I thought fascinating when I was younger. Did you enjoy Jonathan Livingston Seagull? How do you think of it now?

Yes, I loved that book. Ah, Mr. Rice- 7th grade English teacher - opened up my little mind to that book as well as the joy of free style poetry. Not too mention Interlight t-shirts - I still remember winning the award for best pink shirt one Friday - a pink Interlight t-shirt! A book that taught me that if you really want something no matter what you look like or who the world thinks you are - you can be who you want.
