Don't Mean to Brag

Tonight, as my sister watched the children, Phill and I rode the street car to one of Emeril Lagasse's restaurants. After indulging in shrimp and grits, duck, and chocolate bread pudding, we walked home. Walked! Walked!

Say what you want about this city. I still like it. I can already feel it intercalating into my bones.

That's how I felt when we moved to Chicago. I've never really loved any place before Chicago, but I do love the city here. I can tell you all the things wrong with it. I know I could leave it. But it's probably more a part of me than any place I've lived before. Enjoy!
