Doing It In the Rain
The first uptown parade was this evening.
It was raining. Cats. Dogs. Lightning. Thunder. Here's the worst . . . cold. (That may just be cold in southern terms, but who likes cold and wet?)
Did we go?
Oh, yeah. Bundled, with the golf umbrella lovingly left by my sister last time she visited.
Did you know that carrying the toddler in a back pack guarantees that you will get loads of beads, one toy trumpet, three stuffed toys, one miniature samurai sword, and one plastic football.
Geez, I hope the weather is better tomorrow. Catching these things while holding an umbrella proved to be quite a feat. I so need a rum and coke, now. Or a bourbon?
By the way, we never had hard liquor in our house until we moved here. Now we keep it for when friends visit. One of them invariably asks for something "real".
Who are the Weekend Blog Hoppers? A group of parent bloggers who no longer get to go out in the evenings. Here, The Busy Dad says it better.
