They keep going and going and going

and sending back data. I'm talking about the Voyager spacecraft. Voyager 1 and 2, launched in 1977, are still working and providing surprises.

NASA's two Voyager spacecraft are sending back reports of magnetic potholes, sluggish solar wind, and unusual cosmic rays from the edge of the solar system, according to a leader of the Voyager mission.

I really find this amazing. The data are not what we non-physics folks can understand, but the fact that these two nearly 3o year old spacecraft are still functioning is a testament to the planning and intellect of the engineers. Bravo!
