This is a picture of Hydrangea arborescens. This is a wild variety that when given plenty of water and relatively good soil looks wonderful. The two bushes we have are planted in the lowest part of our yard, and they benefit from the drainage of our ornamental fish pond. When we get plenty of rain the overflow of the pond pools in the "bottom" as we term the area giving plenty of water to the willows and river birches planted. Posted by Picasa
